SSP America is hiring a Restaurant POS Systems Manager to join our Support Center team in Ashburn, VA. This role is a strong fit for former restaurant managers or operators who owned POS systems and in-store technology and are ready to apply that experience in a dedicated systems and support environment.
In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll manage restaurant technology across POS, kiosks, and digital ordering platforms, supporting operations at scale across 60 locations. You’ll lead a team that supports mission‑critical workflows used daily across the business.
The team works fully on‑site by design, collaborating closely to troubleshoot issues, support system workflows, and partner with internal stakeholders in real time. This role is fully onsite, five days per week, and is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, bringing structure to complex environments, and staying close to day‑to‑day execution.
What You’ll Do- Lead, coach, and support a team responsible for programming and configuration of restaurant systems, including POS, kiosks, and digital ordering solutions.
- Monitor ticket queues, assign work, track progress, and ensure timely and accurate completion of requests.
- Review and approve complex or high‑risk changes while enforcing SOPs and quality standards.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Culinary, Commercial, Operations, and IT teams to clarify scope, timelines, and data requirements.
- Coordinate system programming for new restaurant openings and digital channels.
- Communicate status updates, risks, and priorities clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant systems, POS programming, configuration, or data‑related roles.
- Minimum 3 years of experience preferred, particularly in environments supporting Oracle Micros 3700 and/or Simphony POS.
- Experience in restaurant operations management combined with hands‑on POS or systems responsibility is highly valued.
- Prior experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
