What The Role Entails

The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for overall project success. Including project oversight, direction, and strategy over multiple $300+ Million data center construction projects, particularly relating to safety, schedule, scope, budget, and quality within Cloud

HQ's portfolio. The Sr. PM shall be adept at strategic planning, team leadership, project management oversight and implementation, and shall have strong technical aptitude in construction process and procedures as well as the installation of electrical and mechanical systems. This role leads the execution of the construction process and owns the safe delivery of the on-time, and on-budget Cloud

HQ projects. This role is for a results-driven leader dedicated to achieving excellence in the construction industry, to include partnering with the general contractors and trades for an aligned success of projects, and a mentor to construction management on-site staff. The Sr. PM manages customer expectations and the relationships with facilities operations throughout the project regarding schedule, delivery and turnover to the client.

What You Will Get to Do
  • Prime leadership role for extended team of professionals assembled to safely deliver major capital construction projects to meet business needs. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, operations, Finance and internal department leaders to assure project team fulfills the mission and objectives of the capital projects.
  • Provide direction and support teams responsible for the preparation of scopes of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates and budgets, work plan schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Oversees General Contractor, direct contractors (ex. Commissioning Agents), third party testing agencies, the project controls and MEP teams for each project. Responsible for tracking project timelines to ensure milestones are being met by each of these entities.
  • Primary liaison to the Cloud

    HQ Design Manager working with the Architect/Engineers and professional consultants to ensure preconstruction and construction activities are harmonious and coordination of activities happen in timely manner (ex. submittal approvals, RFI responses, etc.).
  • Integrate Subject Matter Experts, internal and customer stakeholders to support design, and lead construction teams to create a master development program for site(s)
  • Support Design team leadership for environmental, entitlement and permitting requirements
  • Leads the project delivery resources/team providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals. Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for GC/subs and specialty vendor selection, award and contracts
  • Facilitates project meetings. Implements project documentation governance is aligned with company requirements. Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
  • Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule. Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure internal approvals, and manage change throughout the coursed of the project.
  • Assesses and quantify change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk. Demonstrates ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
