Founded in 2002, Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun boasts a relaxed, collaborative staff and a long-standing positive presence in the community. We have two practice locations 15 minutes apart in Ashburn and Brambleton with a strong, experienced team of veterinarians across both locations, including a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. We see a small animal and exotics caseload under the strong leadership of Medical Director Dr.

Required Skills

• Efficient and organized high-volume appointment assistant.
• Take a thorough medical history.
• Able to obtain blood via jugular, cephalic, or saphenous.
• Be able to restrain and handle aggressive or non-aggressive feline and canine patients.
• Client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills).
• Maintain clean and safe facilities.

Abilities that are a plus (we will train you if you haven't quite learned yet)

• Running in-house lab work.
• Processing reference lab samples.
• Understanding of veterinary pharmacology.
• Client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to decipher medical records.
• Assisting in Surgery and Dentistry.
• Performing Radiographs.
• Be able to restrain and handle feline and canine patients.
• Assist doctors and veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, and pro-actively set up any equipment and or tools to be used for a patient.
• Dispense medications.
• Collect laboratory samples.
• Maintain clean and safe facilities.
