Jazz Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Engineer with coding expertise to support a modernization effort of the access and management system for a federal agency.

• Research, design, develop, and modify application software for approved changes for a given release for tasks assigned.
• Provide input and make updates to technical documentation such as user system design documentation, interface control specifications, API guide, developer guide and training materials.
• Assist with troubleshooting problems.
• Support development schedule creation, maintenance, and monitoring for assigned products/tasks, as necessary.
• Help identify development tasks and level of effort to implement system updates.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology.
• Participate in the requirements definition process to establish an understanding of system changes and the impact on current functionality.
• Create, execute, and document results for development tests (interface and unit) to ensure the code changes are completed per the approved requirements for a given release.

• BA/BS in Computer Science
• Experience with Java or similar object-oriented language
• Experience with SQL
• Must be able to obtain a High-Risk Public Trust clearance

• Full Stack development experience
• Experience with web design technologies, such as HTML, CSS, React, and Java Script
• Experience with unit and/or integration testing
