Transport Administrator
Monday - Friday

8am - 4-pm
FT Recruitment is looking for a Transport Administrator for our client. The role will provide administrative support to their busy transport operation.

The successful candidate will ensure transport records are accurately maintained, support drivers and operational teams, and help facilitate the smooth running of daily transport activities.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Job details:

* Process and maintain transport documentation, including delivery notes, PODs (Proof of Delivery), manifests, and vehicle records.

* Accurately enter and update information within transport and company systems.

* Support drivers with administrative queries and paperwork requirements.

* Monitor and chase outstanding PODs and delivery documentation.

* Maintain driver records, licence checks, and compliance documentation.

* Assist with vehicle maintenance records, MOT schedules, and service documentation.

* Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates and transport-related queries.

* Produce daily, weekly, and monthly transport reports as required.

* Support the transport team with booking deliveries and collections.

* Investigate and record delivery discrepancies, damages, or service issues.

* Ensure all transport records are filed and stored in accordance with company procedures.

* Assist with general office administration duties within the transport department.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Previous administration experience.

* Strong data entry and IT skills.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

* Strong communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills & Experience

* Previous experience within transport, logistics, warehousing, or distribution.

* Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).

* Understanding of transport compliance requirements.

* Familiarity with Proof of Delivery processes and transport documentation.
