John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives - and the world. Walton on Trent CofE Primary School is a thriving school at the heart of the local community, providing a vibrant learning experience for every child. The Trust was founded in 2014, in John Taylor High School - an outstanding secondary school in Barton-Under-Needwood, and the first in Staffordshire to convert to become an Academy. We have grown steadily over time and currently serve 13 infant/primary schools, and 6 secondary schools. In addition, the Staffordshire Research School and John Taylor Teaching School Hub are also key parts of our Trust, having gained a reputation for delivering outstanding professional development and support for teachers across a wide ranging offer.

- Deliver school improvement with a solid track record and expertise across all Key Stages.
- Develop strategies to improve teaching and learning.
- Set the strategic direction of the school in collaboration with the Trust and develop plans for improvements and developments.
- Engage with staff, pupils, Governors and the wider school community.
- Provide leadership, guidance and direction, with the ability to assess and demonstrate outstanding teaching practice.
- Build a high performing team, motivating and challenging where necessary.
- Forge and nurture partnerships for the benefit of the school.
- Strong leadership experience with a track record of delivering school improvement.
- Expertise across all Key Stages and experience of strategies to improve teaching and learning.
- Ability to engage with staff, Governors and the wider school community.
- Commitment to governance, health and safety, and maintaining a healthy and stable financial position for the school and Trust.
