Controls Engineer

In this role, as a Controls Engineer you will design rotating equipment control systems using PRISMIC products and various OEMs’ PLCs and IEDs. You will also work with a cross‑functional engineering team and project managers to execute customer and system requirements.

• Leading the design of rotating machines and their auxiliary control systems.
• Reviewing electrical and control circuit designs and providing detailed markups to the drawing office team.
• Preparing and reviewing hardware and functional design specifications.
• Developing detailed test specifications for both hardware and software testing.
• Programming PLCs using various OEM software to meet functional requirements.
• Creating configuration files for IEDs using multiple OEM tools.
• Performing wiring and setting up contractor equipment for simulation and testing.
• Supporting product testing, integration activities, customer‑site tests, and collaborating with tendering, sales, manufacturing, and commissioning teams.

• Proven experience in designing control equipment for electrical power systems, machinery, and process control applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Controls, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or a related discipline).
• Experience in PLC/DCS programming and configuring controllers/IEDs;
  Codesys knowledge is desirable.
• Ability to interpret and design electrical circuit diagrams.
• Capability to wire and set up hardware for simulation and testing.
• Competency in creating functional and hardware design specifications.
• Knowledge of software‑based microsystems/control systems and communication protocols such as Modbus TCP; IEC 61850 and digital substation experience is desirable.
• Understanding of generator excitation, synchronization, and protection schemes, along with a strong commitment to safe working practices.
