We are supporting a well-established powered access and plant hire business who are looking to appoint a Depot Engineer to join their workshop team in the LE65 area.

This is a hands-on workshop based role responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding and repair of powered access equipment including scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers and telehandlers.

The role is based at a busy depot environment, working as part of a small engineering team to ensure equipment is fully serviced, safe and ready for hire.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on powered access and plant equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
• Inspect, service and prepare scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers and similar machinery for hire
• Complete pre delivery inspections and safety checks
• Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Support workshop efficiency and turnaround targets
• Work collaboratively within the depot engineering team
