Electrical Facilities Engineer £39,000 Monday to Friday Days No WeekendsWe are working with a leading UK food manufacturing business, known for producing some of the nation's favourite snack brands. The site has seen continued investment in both its people and facilities, and is now looking to add an electrically biased Site Services Technician to its established engineering team.
Working closely with the Site Services Manager, you'll take ownership of the site's essential services from boilers and compressors to fire protection and effluent treatment keeping the wider manufacturing operation running safely and compliantly. It's a genuinely varied role that goes beyond traditional production maintenance, blending electrical work, utilities, statutory compliance and general site services.
This is a great opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who wants variety without sacrificing work-life balance. With Monday to Friday days only and no shift work, you'll enjoy a healthy routine while still getting the hands-on, hands-in-everything role that keeps the job interesting.
Responsibilities of an Facilities Engineer Technician:- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site services equipment
- Complete statutory inspections, keeping compliance documentation accurate and audit-ready
- Maintain boilers, compressors, effluent treatment plant, sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment
- Carry out electrical installations, fault finding and repairs across the site
- Support LOLER inspections and legionella control procedures
- Carry out general building maintenance including basic plumbing, joinery and facilities repairs
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that boost site reliability and efficiency
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 Electrical qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience maintaining site services, facilities or manufacturing equipment
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills with a good understanding of statutory compliance
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Basic salary up to £39,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday days only 08:00 to 16:00, no weekends
- 25 days holiday plus the option to buy an additional 5
