Position: Advanced Team Member – Weekends & Mid‑week (FTC)

Equipment Owner
Initial 24-month FTC
Ashby de la Zouch (Home of Hula Hoops, Space Raiders, popchips and more...)
Shift: This role follows a rotating weekend and midweek shift pattern:

Weekend shifts (every week – 24 hours total)

You will work both of the following, rotating weekly:

  • Saturday/Sunday 18:00–06:00 (night shift)

  • Saturday/Sunday 06:00–18:00 (day shift)

Midweek shifts (every other week – 32 hours total)

On alternate weeks, you will work four midweek shifts
. These follow a rotating pattern of:

  • Nights

  • Afternoons

  • Mornings

You will receive a full yearly rota so you can plan ahead.

About the role

As an Equipment Owner, you will play an important role in keeping your line running safely, smoothly and efficiently. You will become a subject matter expert on a specific piece of equipment, helping us maintain high standards in safety, quality and performance. You will use problem‑solving tools, daily management systems and the IWS ways of working to eliminate losses, reduce waste and support continuous improvement.

You’ll also coach and train colleagues so everyone feels confident using and caring for the equipment. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in their work and wants to grow their skills in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

What will you be doing?
  • Owning and improving equipment performance
    Acting as a subject matter expert, ensuring your equipment is maintained, safe and running at optimal performance

  • Supporting safe, high‑quality production
    Carrying out testing procedures, checking work against quality standards and maintaining excellent hygiene and housekeeping

  • Using problem‑solving tools to eliminate losses
    Working with IWS principles, daily management systems and structured tools to resolve issues, identify improvements and reduce waste

  • Training and coaching colleagues
    Helping others learn to run, maintain and understand your piece of equipment confidently and safely

  • Working collaboratively within the team
    Communicating clearly, using the Shift Board and supporting the wider team to achieve daily line targets
