Job Role & Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, youll join a large, energetic engineering team supporting a heavy, automated manufacturing site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment such as conveyors, mixers, ovens, and kilns
- Supporting a fast-paced, industrial environment that is physically demanding
- Performing routine and reactive maintenance across site machinery
- Participating in daily handovers and shift-based engineering support
- Contributing to a collaborative team culture focused on efficiency and reliability
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Strong mechanical maintenance background, ideally from heavy industry, aerospace, or FMCG
- Experience with hydraulics and basic welding
- A proactive, get-stuck-in attitude and willingness to work in tough environments
- Ability to thrive in a large, team-oriented setting
- Open to candidates from various manufacturing sectors
- Experience working in automated production environments
- Flexibility to cover additional hours as needed
- Strong communication and team collaboration
