Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $/yr
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about industrial automation and control systems, with a strong focus on PLCs, HMIs, and a working knowledge of robot programming. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge industrial automation projects across various sectors, providing solutions that drive innovation and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform higher level programming for interfacing with databases for data logging and machine recipe selection and modification
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineering to deliver fully integrated automation systems
- Develop control system documentation, including I/O lists, system layouts, and technical manuals.
- Perform on‑site installation, commissioning, and support of control systems and automation equipment.
- Travel up to 25% for equipment installation, commissioning, and customer support
- Capture and document all changes and modifications throughout the course of a project.
- BS degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or computer engineering
- 5+ years of experience in creating and testing PLC / HMI and Motion applications. An associate degree with 7+ years of experience will also be considered. Other experience levels will be considered.
- Experience with programming Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC’s and HMI’s & machine motion control
- Experience with programming of Fanuc and Kuka robotics is highly desired.
- Experience with Python, C, C++, , and VBA is highly desired.
- Experience with FTView, Wonderware, iFix, Ignition, and other HMI/Scada software
- Knowledgeable of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience doing machine startups at customer job sites.
- Must be willing to work in fast paced environment with tight timelines
- Must be able to establish a good working relationship with LSI vendors and customers
- Must be able to shift priorities and multitask as needed
- Experience handling multiple projects
Ability to respond to common inquiries from vendors and customers. Ability to effectively present information to Engineering Manager and top management.
