The primary function of this position is to maintain inventory of batteries in the plant from ordering and confirming receiving dock of batteries needed to fulfill orders to confirming that batteries have been packaged and counted correctly for each order. That each order arrived to the correct loading dock for shipment.
ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety standards at all times
Perform quality checks and record data as required
Make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standard
Recognize continuous improvement opportunities that will enhance safety, quality, organization, and productivity
Receives MRO, raw, and worked materials including all duties associated with receiving and reporting material receipts. Handles all entries and records for in-process, incoming, and outgoing materials.
Schedules shipment back to vendors for rejected materials
Ability to operate a fork truck with a valid license so that when required, can load or unload trucks and store materials.
Owner of the material supermarkets. Works with planner/buyer to resize markets based on customer demand. Takes lead role in working with planner/buyer, plant scheduler, and production in the material flow of the plant monthly
Recognize purchase orders, due dates, and vendors
Other duties as assigned
2 yrs experience in inventory control, materials management, warehousing, or a related field.
Experience in logistics is preferred but not required.
Experience using SAP or a similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which may include walking, standing, sitting, lifting, and climbing stairs or ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with limited day-to-day supervision.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and inventory transactions.
