Maintenance Technician

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Permanent Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance team supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting mindset, a commitment to safe work practices, and the ability to read and interpret technical documentation to keep equipment running reliably.

Location:

Asheboro, NC

Pay Range: $60320 - $64480

Shift: Full-Time Hourly (10:30pm - 6:30am, Monday through Friday) 3rd shift

What's the Job?

  • Visually inspect and listen to machine and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantle equipment and remove parts for repair using hand tools, power tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoist.
  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems; lubricate or apply adhesives/materials according to procedures.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments based on engineering specifications; locate and repair damaged air and hydraulic pipes by measuring, cutting, threading, and installing new pipe.
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine repair needs and/or Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks; record maintenance and repair information and troubleshoot equipment to restore proper operation.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical trade school, military training, or college preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine problems using root cause analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of machines both mechanically and operationally, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
