Nashville, TN

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview.

• Provides construction management services on multiple or complex projects at an international airport facility.
• Provides ongoing construction inspection, quality assurance and performs specialty inspections.
• Reviews contractor’s work, inspects delivered materials and verifies certifications.
• Ensures compliance with approved construction documents, specifications and contract requirements.
• Records daily observations and reports noncompliance.
• Coordinates and verifies field testing of materials.
• Review and approves pay applications.
• Reviews contractor’s quality control and safety manuals and procedures.
• Performs daily safety inspections.
• Reviews construction plans and specifications.
• Reviews contractor submittals for constructability and compliance.

This position requires heavy lifting, working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis, and ability to perform work independently. Travel to construction sites is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.

• High school diploma is required or GED with a minimum of 8 years of construction inspection experience.
• Alternatively, an Associate degree (two‑year degree)/Technical Training degree (two years of training) in construction management, engineering, or related field, along with 6 years’ experience in construction inspection.
• Or, a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, plus 4 years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in construction inspection, construction materials testing and/or observation in the transportation field.
• State certifications in Materials Testing preferred, along with safety certifications.
• Experience with airport construction projects.
