BHL Federal is a mission-driven disaster recovery firm dedicated to rebuilding homes and restoring communities across the Southeast. As we expand into Western North Carolina, we’re seeking a seasoned Head of Construction to lead the charge and build this division from the ground up.
This is more than a leadership role—it’s a chance to shape a program from day one, working directly with our President and VP to design systems, mentor teams, and deliver high-impact results for families recovering from disaster.
What You’ll Do- Oversee all construction operations for single-family residential rebuilds and manufactured housing units (MHUs)
- Build and lead a high-performing team of superintendents and support staff
- Design and implement scalable workflows and systems to drive operational efficiency
- Ensure full compliance with HUD/state guidelines and program objectives
- Partner with executive leadership on strategy, reporting, and performance metrics
- 10+ years of residential construction experience
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Operational mindset with a strong bias for action
- Experience with scattered lot construction (preferred)
- Deep commitment to mission-driven work and community impact
