Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is excited to welcome full- time anesthesiologists who are interested in playing a significant role in the education and supervision of residents, devoting a significant portion of effort to resient education-supervising, teaching, evaluating and providing formative feedback to Anesthesia residents. Core faculty are critical to the success of a residency, supporting leadership in developing, implementing, and assessing curriculum, mentoring residents, and participaing in non-clinical activities such as interviewing/selecting applicants, providing instruction, mentoring residents, and various other duties.

• Possess MD or DO degree and have 5-7 years experience in anesthesiology.

• Are certified by ABA and demonstrate clinical competence as a practicing Anesthesiologist.

• Must have faculty experience, leadership, organizational and administrative experience as well as demonstrated ongoing academic achievements (publications/program development, research)

• Have 3 years of education and/or administrative experience in GME.

• Will be appointed in good standing to medical staff of Mission Hospital/HCA Anesthesia.

• Must be licensed/licensable in NC and ability to be credentialed at Mission Hospital.

• Will be part of a large, cohesive team of hospital employed professionals
