Job Description

Integrative Family Medicine of Asheville (IFMA) is seeking a part-time family physician (MD or DO) to join a team of 3 physicians, 2 PA-Cs, and 2 FNPs.

We are an independent, direct primary care practice with a mission of providing affordable integrative primary care. Our clinic focus is lifestyle medicine. We are a diverse team of medical providers who share an enthusiasm for fostering deep connection with patients, going the extra mile, and creating a work/life balance. We seek a dedicated team player who, with the support of a health coach and nutritionist, enjoys a collaborative work environment.

We opened in 2011 and are now a thriving practice with an excellent reputation. We are well known in the community and enjoy a healthy relationship between both conventional and integrative providers. Our clinic has won numerous awards for our innovative approach to primary care. We also support continuing education and community involvement for our providers.

Asheville is a wonderful community nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina. The area provides diverse outdoor activities, cultural events, music, arts, excellent schools, and stellar restaurants ().

Position includes:

• Average of 11-12 patients / day
• No after hours call
• No weekend clinic shifts
• No hospital rounds (outpatient only)
• Competitive pay

Requirements:

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Excels in skills of empathy, compassion, and active listening
• Experience with nutrition support
• Experience or interest in Lifestyle Medicine
• Works well in a team-based atmosphere
• Committed to ongoing program development, practice growth, and expansion

Preferred:

• Board Eligible / Board Certified in Integrative Medicine
• Trained in an integrative specialty (lifestyle medicine, manual manipulative therapy, acupuncture, herbalism, or other mind/body treatments)
