Civil Engineering Project Manager. Requisition Number:  S&ME is seeking a skilled Project Manager with design and permitting experience to join our Civil Services team throughout the Carolinas. We are open to hiring in several North & South Carolina offices, including Charlotte, Asheville, Raleigh, Wilmington, Greensboro, Columbia, Charleston, Florence, Greenville-Spartanburg and Myrtle Beach. This is a unique opportunity for professionals with a background in the Oil & Gas industry to work on projects in the Energy Market in North and South Carolina.

As a Civil Engineering Project Manager leading multi-disciplinary project teams, you will apply your technical expertise and leadership to foster collaboration, build client relationships, and create a positive project environment. In addition to project delivery, you will contribute to business growth by developing proposals and supporting strategic client development efforts.

• Leadership & Coordination: Direct multi-disciplinary teams on design and permitting for natural gas distribution and transmission projects. Coordinate environmental, natural, and cultural resource assessments for projects in new and existing utility easements.
• Project Execution: Manage all aspects of project delivery, including safety compliance, risk assessment, technical quality, schedule, and budget. Conduct site visits and engage with clients to exceed expectations.
• Permitting and Design: Oversee environmental and non-environmental permitting processes (e.g., Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plans, Floodplain Development Permits, site grading, DOT Encroachments, Utility Encroachments) while designing for natural gas distribution and transmission pipelines and facilities.
• Business Development: Partner with leadership to identify opportunities, prepare competitive proposals, and expand the client network.

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
• You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering in the energy market, with onshore oil and gas industry experience required.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• You have a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams with strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• You are committed to excellence in client development, proposal writing, and teamwork.
