Senior Quality Engineer
Adecco is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in the Asheville/Mills River area to hire a Senior Quality Engineer. This role supports quality systems, APQP, customer collaboration, PPAP, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across production and development activities.
What You’ll Do- Lead APQP activities, control plans, inspection instructions, and customer communication
- Manage PPAP submissions, capability studies, and audit requirements
- Develop and maintain process FMEAs, control plans, and quality documentation
- Support corrective actions (8D, 5-Why) and lead containment efforts
- Monitor production quality, process capability, and supplier performance
- Drive statistical process control and continuous improvement programs
- Coordinate gauging strategies, calibration, and measurement methods
- Act as primary customer liaison for quality-related topics
- Support supplier audits and visits as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Quality or 10 years related automotive experience
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and corrective action methods
- Strong background in risk analysis, drawing interpretation, and GD&T
- Experience with gauges, calibration, and measurement tools
- Proficiency in MS Office, CAD, and statistical analysis tools
- Ability to lead projects, work independently, and present to customers
- Experience with aluminum castings and machining is a plus
- Understanding of TS16949 and automotive quality standards
