A well-established civil engineering consulting firm with a strong regional presence across the South‑Eastern United States is seeking an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer. This leadership role will guide complex utility infrastructure projects from planning through construction, provide technical direction, and mentor the next generation of engineering talent.

• Lead project teams on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, collection and distribution systems, and regional system planning.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure designs meet the highest standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory compliance at local, state, and federal levels.
• Develop asset management plans, system mapping strategies, and other strategic engineering deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring projects align with their goals and expectations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge transfer.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline).
• 7+ years of municipal water/wastewater design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
