The Renaissance Asheville is a 278 room hotel located in the heart of downtown Asheville, with plenty of greenscapes and sweeping views of the Smoky Mountains. The Blue Ridge Mountains are the perfect backdrop to explore North Carolina's best‑kept secret. We welcome guests to discover the unexpected as they journey through our neighborhood.

To serve food in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner for guests requesting in‑room dining.

• Serves food in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner for guests requesting in room dining.
• Answers questions regarding menu selections, length of wait, and product availability.
• Takes food and beverage orders, relaying order to kitchen and service counters, communicating with all relevant parties regarding changes or updates.
• Record transaction in MICROS system at the time of the order.
• Serves food courses and beverages to guests.
• Fulfill any additional request made by guest.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas through out the day.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing name identification badge.

• Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
• Carry out specific oral or written instructions.
• Deal with the public, customers, employees, with tact and courtesy.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.

Medium work. Exerting up to 10 to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, and or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
