Logistics Engineer, Cold Chain Packaging & Shipping Qualification

Biogen seeks a Logistics Engineer to lead the design, development, and qualification of distribution packaging and cold chain solutions for clinical and commercial products. This role ensures temperature-controlled supply chain compliance across global sites, working cross-functionally with logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams.

• Lead distribution improvement projects and implement new packaging technologies and solutions
• Design, develop, and test complex distribution packaging from concept through implementation
• Manage external vendors, develop packaging standards, and oversee supplier relationships
• Conduct lab testing and lane validation activities to ensure compliance and quality
• Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and manage compliance events, CAPAs, and investigations

• Bachelor's degree; packaging science or engineering preferred
• Minimum 5 years in packaging, logistics, or temperature-controlled supply chain
• Experience in regulated environments (cGMP, cGDP, 21 CFR Part 11) and packaging standards (ASTM/ISTA)
• Expertise in cold chain logistics, transportation, and packaging with lab testing knowledge
• US domestic and international experience required
• Strong technical writing and Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Project, PowerPoint)
• Lean Six Sigma or Green Belt certification preferred

Compensation: $103,000–$137,500 base
