Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners--are you ready for a change? Don’t miss this terrific opportunity to work with an underserved patient population in one of the beautiful communities in the U.S. Appalachian Mountain Health (AMH), a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in Asheville, NC, is hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our exceptional clinical team. This position will practice at our Sylva Office location, delivering quality-focused primary care services for patients.
AMH provides comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to all, including low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations, at six locations throughout Western North Carolina. Our NP/PAs work closely with physicians, other advanced practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care.

Qualifications
- Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited institution
- Current North Carolina PA-C or NP license
- CAQ (certification/credential)
- CPR certification
- At least one year of experience in a primary care setting functioning at the full extent of training and licensure
- Strong commitment to practicing in a community health setting
- Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills; ability to handle stressful situations and function independently
- High initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to support AMH’s mission
