American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring PALS certification and prior PICU experience.

• Work in a 9-bed Pediatric ICU within a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1 RN to 1-2 patients in PICU and 1 RN to 2-3 patients in stepdown
• Performs procedures including IV starts, caths, LP holds, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
• Uses Alaris pumps for infusion management
• Documentation completed in Cerner
• Shift runs from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Must work 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule
• Required to float to Peds and NICU units
• Self-scheduling available

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Located at a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with a Level III NICU
• Part of a regional children's hospital offering 30 pediatric subspecialties
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs, or navy pants with white tops
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months are permitted
