Gardens For Living, a rapidly expanding company specializing in Landscape Installation and Maintenance, is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader. We are committed to quality and growth, and we are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team. The Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader will lead your crew, overseeing daily tasks, ensuring quality work, and maintaining safety standards. Your role includes assigning and monitoring tasks, training team members, managing equipment and materials, and operating landscaping tools as needed.

You will also communicate with supervisors and clients to ensure expectations are met and provide regular progress reports or address any issues that arise. This role demands physical work, skilled equipment operation, and effective team leadership. Our preferred candidate is an energetic, highly motivated individual with experience in the lawn and landscape industry.

Responsibilities
  • Perform lawn care duties such as cutting grass, trimming edges, cleaning up refuse, and blowing trimmings.
  • Control insects and weeds by spraying and dusting areas.
  • Operate power equipment including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chain saws.
  • Assist in the construction of landscape gardens and related areas by moving and installing soil, mulch, and plant material.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manner.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles for proper working order.
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in the landscape industry.
  • Capable of operating required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and input information electronically.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to carry out strenuous physical tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
Compensation

You can expect: 40 – 50 hours per week in season (approximately March 1 – December 15) and 40 hours out of season (weather dependent). Pay starts at $22.00+ per hour, depending on experience.
