Prep Cook

Overview

Morrison Healthcare is hiring full‑time PREP COOK positions at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until all openings are filled.

Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801.
Schedule: Full time; rotating days 6:00‑3:00 or 7:00‑4:00, weekends and major holidays. Rotating schedule changes upon interview.

• Six months to one year of prep cook experience.
• Pay Range: $17.50–$18.50 per hour.

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets, waste log sheets, and taste meals for quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label, and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Take orders, prepare items with short preparation time, and serve customers efficiently and courteously.
• Resolve customer concerns and perform other duties as assigned.
