Our mobile technicians are responsible for providing superb customer service by handling service calls at client locations as well as maintaining fleet vehicles. We provide a mobile service unit for outside service calls. No heavy diagnostics, no heavy engine work, no heavy transmission work, etc. As a mobile technician at Asheville Ford you are responsible for handling recalls, light duty repair and preventive maintenance of customer vehicles through the following activities:

• Completing recalls per manufacturers technical instructions
• Complete preventative maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, etc
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Keep equipment in pristine condition by following operating and safety instructions at all times.
• Update job and product knowledge as required by the manufacturer.
• All other duties assigned.

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
