Carpenter's Helper/Laborer
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter’s Helper to join our growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in the construction industry. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and gain valuable hands‑on experience in the carpentry field. As a Carpenter’s Helper, you will work as part of a team under the guidance of a Crew Leader and a Journeyman Carpenter.
Please note:
all employment offers are contingent upon successfully passing a full background check.
- Assist on the Jobsite, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Support remodeling and restoration projects by preparing work areas and assisting with demolition.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
- Help with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow instructions from lead carpenters to ensure project specifications are met accurately.
- Must live within 35 minutes of Asheville.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques.
- Be equipped with a basic tool set.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Experience with hand tools commonly used in carpentry work.
- Ability to lift, load, and unload heavy construction materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Great attitude and willingness to learn new skills and techniques in the carpentry field with an open mind.
- This position will require a significant amount of driving so any candidate must possess and maintain a valid NC driver’s license throughout their employment.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Compensation and Benefits- Pay: $16-$19/hour, based on experience and skill set.
