Salary: £88.94 £ 95+ per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education Kent are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist school that provides exceptional education and personalised support for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs.

, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs, including autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, social-emotional needs, and complex learning challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and group support following EHCPs and individual learning plans
  • Assist pupils with communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
  • Support personal care tasks when required
  • Promote independence, confidence, and life skills
  • Help the class teacher maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage pupil engagement, progress, and well-being
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • A calm, patient, and understanding approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Ability to follow safeguarding procedures at all times
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
