Job description

As a Support Worker with Superior Healthcare, you’ll spend meaningful time with the person you support and help them with the things that matter in their daily life.

Every support package is different. Your role may involve practical support, personal care, companionship, accessing the community, supporting routines or helping someone work towards individual goals.

You’ll follow an individual care plan and work closely with colleagues, families and professionals where appropriate. You’ll receive an induction and any role-specific training needed, with ongoing guidance available from Superior Healthcare’s wider care and clinical teams.

For someone who wants to develop, the role can also provide a pathway into more specialist support and complex care.

Shifts

Day and night shifts available.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respectful, person-centred support.
  • Support daily routines and agreed personal goals.
  • Promote independence, choice and dignity.
  • Provide personal care where this forms part of the individual care plan.
  • Support social activities and access to the community where required.
  • Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the person you support.
  • Observe wellbeing and report changes or concerns.
  • Maintain clear and accurate care records.
  • Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and professionals.
Requirements
  • A caring, respectful and reliable approach.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to follow an individual care plan.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous care or support experience in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
