Ripple Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Year 2 Teacher for a primary school in the Ashington area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, initially on a short-term basis, with the potential for the placement to continue.

The school is looking for a teacher who can provide consistency for the class, build strong relationships with the children and quickly become a positive part of the wider school team.

The opportunity

You'll take responsibility for a Year 2 class, providing high-quality teaching and creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive Year 2 lessons

Creating a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment

Adapting teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils

Assessing pupils' learning and using this to inform teaching

Marking pupils' work in line with the school's marking policy

Building positive and consistent relationships with children

Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team Following the school's curriculum, policies and procedures

Following school and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times

What we're looking forYou'll ideally have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within a primary schoolA good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum

High expectations for all pupils

Strong classroom management skills

Confidence with planning, assessment and adapting learningA thorough understanding of safeguarding

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and familiesA committed, proactive and enthusiastic approach

Availability to work full-time
