Position Located in Ashland City, TN

Oak Plains Academy is a 98‑bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents. Residents receive individualized treatment plans. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually, focusing on treating trauma and building resiliency. The campus features a gym, dining hall, academic building, and dormitories amid 20 acres of rolling hills about 45 minutes from Nashville.

• Render professional nursing care to patients within the treatment programs. Perform ongoing patient assessment, evaluation, and update of patient care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicate pertinent data to other service areas as needed.
• Administer medications appropriately and document all data accurately according to facility policy.
• Participate in formulation of individual care plans for all patients and implement plans according to facility policy.
• Perform proper hand‑to‑hand and patient safety techniques, completing debriefings as indicated.
• Serve as a role model to staff and students in dress and demeanor.

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program and license (or license eligibility) in the State of Tennessee.
• Preferred experience with children/adolescents.
• Preferred experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
• 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
