Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Job Summary

Responsible for repairing, overhauling, and maintaining all plant equipment. The Mechanic role at Wells involves performing small engine repairs (gas), handling gas, diesel, and hydraulic repairs, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues, working with conveyor systems, and conducting heavy equipment mechanic tasks. This position also requires maintenance of records, certification in Lock-out and tag-out procedures, and expertise in confined space requirements.

• Ability to analyze heavy equipment malfunctions and apply appropriate fixes
• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles while following safety protocols
• Proficiency with hand tools and related equipment
• Strong skills in active listening, problem‑solving, and communication
• Self‑motivated, independent, reliable, and possessing a strong work ethic
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and the capability to operate a motor vehicle

• Perform small engine repairs (gas)

• Work with conveyor systems

  Maintain records and fulfill related administrative requirements
• Be well‑trained and certified in Lock‑out and tag‑out procedures
• Be trained and certified in confined space requirements

• Regular standing, twisting, and walking
• Usage of various hand tools and controls
• Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Involvement in medium to heavy manual, physical labor regularly

• Moderate to high exposure to unusual elements
• Moderate to high risk of safety precautions
• Exposure to production environments
• Work in wet, hot, humid, wintry conditions, and ability to work outside year‑round
• Loud noise level in the work environment
