PART-Time Customer Service Representative (ASHLAND, KY)

OverviewThe PART-Time Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road Council is one of the first points of contact with volunteers, girls, parents, community partners, and other Council Staff. This position emphasizes excellence in interpersonal communication and problem solving through strong customer contact. The CSR handles customer and volunteer interactions during retail sales at the Ashland Office location (and the website) and supports the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with on-site programming opportunities.
This is a part-time role with a maximum workload and is not benefits-eligible.
- Provide a positive customer experience for all stakeholders in person, by phone, or via email.
- Answer incoming calls and requests; engage in problem-solving and provide solutions; respond to inquiries via email, phone, chat, and walk-in customers, following scripts when needed.
- Maintain a customer-centric environment, including greeting guests at the front desk.
- Maintain customer database by entering information accurately and efficiently; strive to resolve customer cases in a timely manner.
- Contact customers, resolve issues, and provide service support to the customer experience team.
- Contribute to an environment that fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through words, actions, and attitude.
- Assist with development and facilitation of programming for girls on-site.
- Provide general programming support in the NKY area to support the on-site Programming Manager.
- Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
- High School Diploma or 2 years of customer service experience.
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and virtual delivery; experience developing and implementing action plans to meet or exceed deliverables; experience working collaboratively to reach goals.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Previous experience with the Girl Scouts is a bonus but not required.
- Ability to learn new systems such as Salesforce and Looker.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including possible evenings and weekends.
- Ability to provide own transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Operate office equipment manually.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
