Crisis or Residential Recovery Unit Therapist

Pathways Inc. – Kentucky is seeking a highly motivated Crisis or Residential Recovery Unit Therapist to support our consumers and providers in the Crisis or Residential Recovery Unit (CRRU), Children’s Crisis Unit, or other Residential Recovery Centers.

Compensation

Sign‑On Bonus
: $10,000

Salary – Associate Level License
: $55,000 – $70,000 (LPA, LPCA, CSW, AMFT)

Salary – Independent Level License
: $65,000 – $75,000 (LPP, LPCC, LCSW, LMFT)

Education & Licensure

Bachelor’s Degree and CADC license with approved supervisor status or Master’s Degree and license in Human Service Field. A working knowledge of the Twelve‑Step recovery process is required.

Duties / Responsibilities

The selected provider will:

  • Deliver support to consumers and providers in the CRRU, Children’s Crisis Unit, or other Residential Recovery Centers.
  • Supervise Peer Support Services and TCADC services delivered on and off site.
  • Provide direct care to consumers in the CRRU or other Residential Setting, observing safe withdrawal and therapeutic engagement.
  • Handle telephone contacts for referrals, ensuring proper admission and discharge processes and accompanying paperwork.
  • Process chart work, facilitate groups and individual therapy, and produce timely reports for client charts.
  • Supervise temporary CADC personnel and maintain appropriate documentation for supervision, providing records to the board promptly.
  • Demonstrate competency in the Addiction Counseling Competencies (CSAT TAP #21, 2006) and oversee National Suicide Prevention Line calls, ensuring follow‑up as needed.
Special Experience / Skill Set Required

Organizational skills and coordination of client care are essential. The provider must understand and apply The Principles of Effective Treatment (NIDA NIH Publication No. 00‑4180) to function effectively in this role.
