JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administration for all Inpatient Hospitalists Provider group and Medical Specialties Clinic operations in collaboration with the Medical Director. Oversees the smooth and efficient operation of integrated specialty practices to ensure cost-effective, and patient-centered care. Integrates the organization’s strategic plan into practices and manages the development of clinical programs within the health system. Exercises broad management responsibility over diverse specialties and Inpatient Medicine, ensuring efficient services for patients, physicians, staff, and the public.

    Delegates and coordinates responsibilities to management staff to achieve organizational objectives and operational excellence
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Provides direct oversight and coordination of patient care activities to ensure consistency and quality across clinic operations.
    • Directs, develops, and monitors performance improvement projects, implementing changes to enhance clinic quality outcomes.
    • Interprets and enforces hospital and departmental policies and procedures, ensuring staff accountability and compliance.
    • Communicates effectively with clinic and medical staff, fostering open information exchange and feedback.
    • Supervises and develops Clinic Managers, overseeing staff onboarding, education, and professional development.
    • Facilitates collaboration among clinical departments, medical staff, and affiliated services to achieve strategic and operational goals.
    • Analyzes and manages provider relationships, referral networks, and outreach activities to support service line growth and integration.
    • Partners with marketing and internal departments to coordinate community events and disseminate key service line information.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum requirement:
    • Education Requirement:

      Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, nursing, or a related field

      Experience Requirement:

      8-10 years of progressive experience in specialty care, healthcare management, or a relevant area and 2 years of relevant managerial experience

      An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

      All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

      Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

      Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Completion of UKKD LEAD Academy.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers.
  • Occasionally requires travel to and from off-site locations
  • The noise level in this position is usually low.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Frequently required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer or while presenting to individuals or groups.
  • Frequently required to move about throughout the Medical Center or while rounding.

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
