Flynn Group entered the Panera system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafes. Since then, we have more than tripled in size to become the 2nd largest Panera franchisee in the world and continue to grow by building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators.

Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread. The organization uses a decentralized business model, with each geographic area led by a Market Leader. Reporting to the Market Leader are Area Directors, who are responsible for the overall functions of the cafes in their areas. Area Directors report to the Global Operations Group. General Managers are the chief cafe managers responsible for the overall running of the cafe.

Assistant Managers run day‑to‑day business and help with management responsibilities. Team Managers support the cafe leadership team.

Position Description

Our Panera Bread cafes are upscale, friendly cafes featuring baked breads and pastries. We serve made‑to‑order soups, salads and sandwiches as well as specialty espresso beverages.

No Fryers and No Late Nights. We are known for our artisan breads, quality soups, salads and sandwiches in a grease‑free, alcohol‑free environment. As a manager, this means no late nights, but we do hope you're a morning person.

Managers at our growing cafes supervise up to 75 staff members to ensure a top‑quality service experience for our guests.

  • As a Team Manager at Panera Bread, you would be responsible for providing outstanding leadership to your team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Restaurant management combines strategic planning, shift organization and day‑to‑day management activities. At Panera Bread, restaurant management is fast paced, highly demanding and very rewarding.

Typical Work Activities for a Team Manager
  • Serve as a role‑model and lead the team.
  • Ensure that team members are providing great customer service.
  • Take ownership for the business performance of the restaurant.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by following all safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Run quality opening, mid and closing shifts ensuring a consistent positive customer experience.
  • Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
  • Greet customers and do table visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train and motivate staff.
  • Assist the specialist within the bakery‑cafe, ensuring team members are properly trained and fully competent in all aspects of food service and customer support.
  • Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines, cultural values and following ethical business practices.
  • Exhibit a professional image. Promote and embody our Values and Beliefs as outlined on the Premier Card.
Education and Experience
  • At least 1‑2 years of hospitality experience.
  • Food management certifications also a plus.
  • Must have the "Run it Like you Own It" mentality.
  • Excellent organization, customer service and time management skills.
  • Proven track record for leadership.
  • Passion, energy and a positive attitude.
  • Work well under pressure and be able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
