Technical Product Manager, Safety Systems About the Role

As a Technical Product Manager, you will lead the evolution of critical safety and fire protection technologies, bridging the gap between complex engineering and market-driven solutions. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of high-impact detection and suppression systems, ensuring our portfolio meets the rigorous demands of global industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for advanced fire detection and control systems to ensure market leadership.
  • Translate Voice of Customer (VoC) research into actionable product requirements that solve real-world safety challenges.
  • Lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives by coordinating cross-functional efforts between engineering, sales, and operations.
  • Manage product profitability and lifecycle health, from initial concept through to sunset, using data-driven business cases.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and technical documentation to empower sales teams and drive commercial growth.
  • Monitor global industry trends and regulatory standards (NFPA, UL, FM) to maintain competitive advantage and compliance.
  • Analyze product performance metrics and volume forecasts to optimize pricing strategies and supply chain alignment.
Qualifications Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven commercial and financial acumen with experience in B2B product management.
  • Deep understanding of fire detection and suppression system codes and standards.
  • Strong proficiency in technical communication and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Skills
  • MBA or advanced business certification.
  • Professional certification in Product Management.
  • Direct experience within the fire protection or critical infrastructure safety industry.
  • Multilingual capabilities to support global market engagement.
