Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production and facility equipment—including automated systems—to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Supports production by minimizing downtime, performing equipment installations, and contributing to continuous improvement.
* ** Troubleshooting & Repair**:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated systems. Use PLCs, ladder logic, and HMIs for fault resolution.
* ** Automation Support**:
Maintain and support automated production equipment including robotics, conveyors, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
* ** Preventive & Predictive Maintenance**:
Execute scheduled maintenance on heading, threading, painting, packaging, and automation equipment.
* ** Equipment Installation & Upgrades**:
Assist with setup, installation, commissioning, and improvement of equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
* ** Machine Setup & Changeover**:
Support alignment and tooling adjustments during changeovers. Provide operator support during runs.
* ** Facility & Utility Maintenance**:
Maintain air compressors, lighting, water systems, and perform facility inspections.
* ** Documentation**:
Accurately complete work orders, downtime logs, and maintenance records. Communicate repair timelines with production leads.
* ** Inventory Management**:
Track usage of tools and parts; request reorders to avoid downtime.
* ** Collaboration**:
Work with production, engineering, and quality teams. Train operators in basic troubleshooting and equipment care.
* ** Continuous Improvement**:
Participate in root cause analysis and support equipment performance enhancements.
* ** Safety & Compliance**:
Follow OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies. Participate in safety programs, audits, and corrective actions.
* Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance preferred
* 3+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in fasteners or metal forming
* Strong skills in automation, PLCs, ladder logic, and control systems
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems
* Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
* Skilled in minor machining or fabrication
