2nd shift Processing Technician - $25.85/hour

Production Coordinator

Job Summary

The primary function of this job is to provide technical support and training for the production processing area. The Processing Technician will work with employees to ensure that our product meets the highest possible quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Setup machines in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain acceptable finished product, bake time, and machine speeds.
  • Assist and maintain production line efficiency.
  • Conform to all quality standards (HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and CTS).
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance and repair of production equipment, including initiating, monitoring, and completing work orders in SAP.
  • Plan and conduct changeovers as needed.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis using tools such as 5‑Why, A3 analysis, and other problem‑solving methods.
  • Maintain good work area housekeeping practices according to 5S standards.
  • Assist in training by ensuring proper placement of qualified operators.
  • Provide operators with proper tools to work safely and efficiently.
  • Work with operators to ensure all product meets established quality standards.
  • Ensure on‑time start‑ups.
  • Monitor ingredients to ensure quality.
  • Conduct SQF audits.
  • Audit scaling and mixing areas.
  • Assist with production reporting, ensuring accuracy.
  • Communicate issues with product quality, equipment needs, and safety concerns.
  • Schedule Prisma in the absence of an IC.
  • Inspect and assist with preparation and set‑up of processing equipment.
  • Monitor rotation of ingredients, including lot numbers and delivery dates.
  • Ensure compliance to Kosher/Non‑Kosher guidelines.
  • Assist in testing of new products.
  • Confirm recommended dough changes with supervision.
  • Ensure proper use of meal and add‑back.
  • Follow safety work rules; conduct JSO and safety audits.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; two years related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic hand tools usage.
  • Required power industrial equipment certification with stacker/walker lifts.
  • Reading and writing simple instructions and correspondence; communicate with respect to all employees.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units; measure using metric and English units.
  • Reasoning ability: follow written, oral, diagram instructions; problem‑solve multi‑variable issues.
  • Will need to attend and complete all required training and development courses related to baking and manufacturing cookies/crackers.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods, use hands/fingers/arms to reach and manipulate materials.
  • Walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; hold up to 50 pounds; push/pull heavy loads on wheeled dollies.
Work Environment

Employee works near moving mechanical parts; exposed to vibration, fumes, airborne particles, hot/cold temperatures, wet environments; high noise level. Must comply with safety regulations and use prescribed safety equipment.
