Full‑time. Starting at $87,000 per year based on experience.

Department:
Health Care Center.

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day‑to‑day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long‑term care facility.
• Serve on weekly leadership meetings, daily utilization review, and QAPI meetings (falls, skin, weight, infection control).
• Determine staffing needs of the nursing department with the support of the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Staff Scheduler.
• Participate as needed in the selection of residents for admission to the facility.
• Develop, plan, conduct, and schedule in‑service training classes that provide instructions on how to do the job, and ensure a well‑educated nursing service department.
• Serve and/or delegate as the facility's Infection Control Designee pursuant to the provisions of its Infection Control Program.
• Recommend to the Administrator the equipment and supply needs of the department.
• Participate in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
• Keep abreast of economic conditions and recommend to the Administrator adjustments in nursing services that ensure the continued ability to provide quality care.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information; report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure.

• Minimum nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility preferred.
• Preferred six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Onsite presence required.
