The Scheduling Coordinator / Restorative Aide supports our mission by overseeing and coordinating scheduling and payroll of Nursing Staff, ensuring adequate staffing on all nursing units in accordance with the policies and procedures of Brethren Care Village and federal, state, and local guidelines. The role also involves providing restorative care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and coordinating care with other facility and rehabilitation personnel.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Maintain the master nursing schedule, updating as needed with additions or deletions from the staff as positions change.
- Update the schedule daily with trades, vacation requests, and call‑offs to ensure communication with shift staff.
- Track and approve vacation requests based on nursing department staff guidelines.
- Collaborate with the DON and new employees to set up schedules for orientation to units where they will be working.
- Fill openings on the schedule due to vacations, LOA, FMLA, open positions, and call‑offs during working hours.
- Input all information into the UKG Kronos system for employee schedules, pay code changes, time worked outside of scheduled hours, absent/late arrival/leave early/vacation trade slips, and extra shift agreements.
- Meet at least weekly with the DON or designee to review staffing requirements and ensure state requirements are fulfilled.
- Provide restorative nursing care according to facility policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
- Occasionally help transport residents to appointments at hospitals or physician offices.
- Experience using Windows computer systems.
- Attendance at in‑services as needed.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CNA license.
- Valid driver’s license.
