Bucket Truck Operator

Job Description

Bucket Truck Operator – Join Penn Line Service, Inc. to assist with the clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right‑of‑ways. The operator uses a bucket truck to reach branches interfering with electric lines and may also use chain saws, pruners, a brush chipper, and climbing equipment when necessary.

• Operate an aerial lift (bucket truck) to remove trees and branches from utility lines.
• Use chainsaws, pruners, brush chipper and climbing equipment to complete line clearance work.
• Adhere to safety procedures for all equipment and work environments.
• Respond to emergency storm duty and other urgent assignments as required.

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable experience operating a bucket truck in a utility line or residential tree clearance setting.
• CDL license or a valid driver’s license is preferred.
• Pesticide license beneficial but not mandatory.

4‑10 hour days, Monday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Friday with occasional mandatory overtime. Emergency storm duty as needed.

Varies based on skills and experience.

Travel required throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. Flexibility to work at different sites on short notice is essential.
