Role OverviewHDR has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Oregon Water Business Group in the role of Business Class Lead (BCL) for Wastewater Treatment. You will be responsible for leading and growing the existing wastewater treatment group for Oregon and supporting other projects in the area. The work products include master planning through design and support during construction.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Staff Development – recruit, select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel; supervise engineers and junior staff.
- Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams; implement, monitor, and support company policy.
- Technical Excellence – participate in delivery of project services through planning, design, and construction phases; function as a project manager and lead critical region projects.
- Marketing and Strategy – be directly involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews; collaborate nationally with other wastewater treatment business class leads.
- Other duties as needed.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Active engagement in professional or industry organizations locally (e.g., PNWS AWWA, PNCWA) and nationally (e.g., WEFTEC, WRF).
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills necessary to grow and lead a business group.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
- 10 years of experience.
- Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
- Professional or engineering registration and relevant technical experience.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other area leaders and managers.
- Active participant of an employee‑owned culture is a must.
Expected compensation range: $ to $, depending on skills, experience, education and geography.

Salem, Bend, Vancouver (WA), Ashland.
