We have an opening for a Supportive Housing Associate at our Rogue Ridge Apartments in Ashland, Oregon. The Supportive Housing Associate motivates adults with serious mental illness to participate in a variety of skills training and other treatment activities. Primary responsibilities include facilitating access to community resources and assisting tenants with health care arrangements, housing applications, move-in arrangements, medication administration, money management, symptom monitoring, and housekeeping.

The role encourages socialization, self-help, communication, and provides daily support for problem solving. This position requires empathy and active listening, and includes crisis de-escalation training with hands-on techniques.

If you have experience as a QMHA, DSP, RA, Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for behavioral health needs, this position may be a good fit.

For applicants starting as a QMHA-R, Columbia Care offers a Vocational Training Program to accelerate training, on-the-job experiential learning, and testing preparation for the 1000 supervised hours required to complete certification as a QMHA-I. Certification can be achieved in as little as 6 months. This is optional.

Thursday and Friday, 8:00am - 12:00am (16 hour shift, sleep onsite) (Part Time, Day & Overnight). An additional $75 bonus will be included on nights you sleep on-site.

$22.00 - $23.75 per hour DOE/Credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential applies 10:00pm - 6:00am.

Additional 5% Language Differential offered for bilingual or multilingual candidates (Spanish/English desired).

Rogue Ridge Apartments is a brand-new, 28-unit, permanent Supportive Housing program in Ashland, Oregon. It serves adults who are houseless and living with a mental illness in a three-story complex with elevators, ADA units, and a community/activity room. Services include on-site staff providing peer support, skills training, tenancy assistance, community navigation, 24/7 housing support, and tenancy services around move-in/out, rent, maintenance, and repairs.

Columbia Care Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Must be eligible for QMHA registration. Eligibility requires one of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field
• Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience with individuals in a supervised setting
• Equivalent combination of behavioral science education with satisfactory behavioral health experience and training

If not already registered as a QMHA through MHACBO, we will assist you in registering within 30 days of hire.

Vocational Training Program:
Employees in the optional program will have additional training expectations to meet QMHA testing requirements.

Driving is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to talk, listen, use hands, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 40 pounds. It may require occasional use of ladders, squatting/kneeling, and other tasks. Crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings are required. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
