Asante is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team in Ashland, Oregon.

The CNM will function in the following role:

• To provide prenatal,intrapartumand postpartum care for healthy obstetric patients.
• To interact with the Obstetric physicians tofacilitatecare of midwifery service patients requiring cesareansectionor other interventions.
• To provide newborn care following delivery and until
  28 dayspost-delivery to well newborns.
• To provide preventive well-woman exams, including pap smears and breast exams, and contraception on an outpatient basis.

Education

• Graduate from an RN School of Nursing is required
• MSN with graduation from a Certified Nurse Midwifery program is required

Experience

• 2-3 years in an obstetrical office practice as either a Women’s Health Practitioner or Certified
  
  Nurse Midwife is required
• Must have experience with new obstetrical office patient exam routines, return prenatal patient examination routines,charting,and documenting.
• Ability to perform uncomplicated vaginal deliveries is required
• Ability toassistatcesarean section deliveries as a first assistant is required

Required Certifications/Licensures

• Nurse Midwife Nurse Practitioner (NMNP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)
• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board
• Must obtain andmaintainstaff membership and appropriate privileges(i.e.ACLS, BLS,NRP,PALS, etc.)
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid,andother federal health programs
• Must meet all qualifications toparticipateinthe hospital’sprograms for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
