We are a construction company in the Richmond area that specializes in site work (excavation, underground utilities, etc).
Job DescriptionIdeal candidates will have an outstanding work ethic and desire to succeed. Must have proficient knowledge of day-to-day site construction operations and adhere to company and safety standards. Must have exceptional communication skills as you will take direction from the owner and supervise employees under your leadership daily. Working knowledge of operation and maintenance of excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, skid steers, etc is necessary.
Must be self-sufficient and able to handle daily responsibilities without supervision.
Ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time. In doing so, candidate will: direct project activities of crews, scheduling men and equipment; be responsible for job safety; coordinate with General Superintendent and Project Managers as to schedule and present job status at weekly planning meetings; schedule sub-contractors and materials.
QualificationsRequired qualifications include:
- MINIMUM 5 year experience as a working utility foreman
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints (Civil and Utility)
- Must have experience with sanitary sewer, water mains, domestic water lines, fire lines, storm drainage, experience with sanitary pump stations a plus.
- Valid Driver's License required, CDL preferred
- High school diploma or GED required.
