FCAW Welder​/Fitter – Overhead Crane Fabrication

Pay Rate: Starting at $26.00/hour; higher depending on experience
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM;
Saturdays as needed

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to fabricate and weld components for overhead cranes and related equipment. This role requires strong blueprint-reading skills, knowledge of welding symbols, and the ability to produce quality Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) welds that meet AWS D1.1 and D14.1 standards.

• Fabricate and fit metal components using shop drawings and specifications.

• Perform Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) to meet AWS D1.1 and D14.1 requirements.

• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and AWS welding symbols.

• Pass a full-penetration vertical weld test and an overhead fillet weld test.

• Follow safety procedures while working in a heavy industrial environment.

• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Work 10-hour shifts and Saturdays when required.

• Hands-on welding and fitting experience.

• Proficiency in Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).

• Ability to read shop drawings and interpret AWS welding symbols.

• Ability to meet the required vertical full-penetration and overhead fillet weld tests.

• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and D14.1 welding standards.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in an industrial shop.

• Reliable attendance and willingness to work the required schedule.

• Contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential for full-time employment after 90 days.

• $850 sign-on bonus after 6 months of employment.
