FAR Inspections is a 9‑year old company contracting residential occupancy verifications for mortgage lenders. Full‑time and supplemental positions available with a predictable income and a flexible schedule.
PurposeVerify property occupancy and report general conditions using a mobile app.
Responsibilities- Most inspections take 5‑6 minutes.
- Complete inspection within 4 days of assignment.
- Report property conditions and determine occupancy per industry standards.
- Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
- Complete a short form in an app.
- Drive extended periods of time making numerous stops.
- Computer with internet access.
- Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- Printer.
- Valid driver’s license and pass a standard background check.
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate; rates vary by county and volume. You can earn the equivalent of $30‑$40 per hour, with 20‑500 inspections per month working 2‑30 hours per week. Higher volume counties have lower rates; lower volume counties have higher rates.
There is no mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
